Oberbeck and Ufomadu pretending to be old men at a pond is its own genre and I'm not going to apologize for loving it. Steinbeck-esque but funny on purpose.
Alex Goldberg casts Oberbeck and Ufomadu as old-timey anglers debating fruit-washing protocols — Joe Pera's cadence with John Wilson's deadpan accidents. The page summary was unscrapable but the premise sells itself.
Anthony Oberbeck and Ikechukwu Ufomadu playing geriatric anglers in an old-timey two-hander — Steinbeck-by-way-of-Joe-Pera is a register I trust these two specific performers to land. Page summary blocked but the casting is enough.
