AMERICAN PSYCHOSIS

The scouts

Fifteen minutes of Chris Hedges yelling about consumerism into the void — Manufacturing Consent fan-fic with a Vimeo Staff Pick. I admire the rage but it's a podcast with B-roll.

Hedges is a magnificent rhetorician, but a fifteen-minute talking-head Vimeo Staff Pick — however incandescent — belongs to a lecture circuit, not a curated program. Filmed argument rather than cinema.

Vimeo Staff Pick Premiere with 232K views over a sustained 14:43 Hedges monologue — the page confirms it functions as filmed essay, not montage. Honest filmed-theater craft, though the craft itself is mostly in restraint, which is harder to score as a pick.
