Two minutes of soft piano and wine glasses is exactly the kind of consensus romance that needs a reason to exist — and I don't see one here. Unless there's a formal or tonal twist hiding in those two minutes, this is the film everyone else would pick, which means it's not for me.
Patamia's restraint with the piano and the specificity of the two-minute form suggest a director thinking carefully about economy and emotional architecture; this is the kind of intimate, formally considered study that rewards repeat viewing and careful framing within a larger program.
The entire weight lands on whatever Patamia chose to do with the silence between dialogue and the camera's distance from her subjects — if those choices are precise, two minutes is plenty to make something that feels lived-in and true.
