The premise is genuinely unsettling—loneliness so acute you'd rather hear a microwave's canned cheerfulness than silence—but the execution plays it a little too safe, landing somewhere between indie dramedy and Black Mirror fan fiction instead of genuinely breaking the form.
There's a clear lineage here to the deadpan intimacy of contemporary European short cinema, though the film doesn't quite find the formal constraint or compositional rigor that would elevate anthropomorphizing appliances beyond clever concept into lasting image.
Three minutes is nothing, but the decision to let the appliance voices remain slightly synthetic rather than convincingly human—that small refusal to comfort the viewer—is the entire film, and it works precisely because it never flinches from the artificiality of the compromise.
