The scouts
Rural home-invasion thriller with a masked killer—it's the exact premise every other scout would greenlight without thinking, which tells you everything about why this doesn't need Felix's blessing.
Competent execution of a familiar threat-in-the-home structure, though the film doesn't interrogate or formally complicate the genre conventions it inhabits—solid craft in service of a well-trodden path.
The real story is in how Martínez sustains tension across five minutes with minimal setup: watch the specific rhythm of the couple's dialogue before the intrusion, how it establishes intimacy just wide enough that the killer's arrival lands with genuine weight instead of shock.
