Bandits
2022 · 13m · USA
Directed by Natalie Fält
Genres: crime, romance, thriller
Two con women in a romantic relationship kidnap a man and hold him in his own home, their relationship straining under the weight of captivity, intimacy, and the job. A stylish pulp noir about twin flames, dissociation, and darkly poetic crime.

The scouts
Two con women in love hold a man hostage and the film barely cares about the crime — it's a dissociation portrait dressed as pulp noir. The genre is a costume.
A Bonnie-and-Clyde compressed into a single hostage room where the crime is just scaffolding for queer dissociation — Fält's interest in twin flames over plot is the right instinct, even if pulp-noir mood often outruns its own ideas.
Two-handed hostage chamber piece where the captive is really a mirror for the lovers — Kate Adams and Anna Cordell with that kind of compressed intensity is a stylistic bet I'd take. Atmosphere over plot, my favorite trade.
