Two minutes of ash and regret—fine, but it's treading water in the shallow end of melancholy that a hundred other shorts have already waded through; I want the film that makes me *uncomfortable* with its choice, not just sad.
Sigal locates himself in a lineage of minimalist grief cinema, and the restraint is admirable—there's a formal discipline here that respects silence—but it doesn't quite say anything the form hasn't already whispered.
The real film lives in whatever Sigal chose to *not* show us about that decision, and if the edit lands on the exact moment of refusal rather than resolution, that single breath of restraint could make two minutes feel like an entire life.
