A dream-logic coming-of-age wrapped in mythic drag—competent enough, but it's treading the well-worn path of 'surreal awakening = spiritual truth,' and I'm not convinced Vera's doing anything here that subverts the formula rather than just executing it prettily.
There's a considered formality to the mythic register Vera reaches for, and the three-minute runtime demands real economy; the film sits comfortably in a lineage of Latin American magical-realist cinema, though it settles into those conventions rather than interrogating them.
The dream-to-waking transition hinges on a single visual or sonic choice that either grounds the metaphysical premise in lived specificity or lets it drift into abstraction—that decision, and how Vera commits to it across three minutes on what appears to be a modest footprint, is everything here.
