A minute of clouds doing cloud things sounds like the opposite of subversive until you realize Ersan's stripped away every narrative crutch we use to make animation feel like *something*—and somehow that void is the whole point, which is either brilliant or a bluff I'm genuinely unsure about.
Ersan's layered approach to pure atmospheric abstraction sits quietly in the lineage of structural animation and contemplative cinema, where restraint and formal precision become the subject themselves; the economy of a single minute feels deliberate and earned.
The decision to let accumulation and collision be the only grammar—no dialogue, no character, no event beyond the physics of form meeting form—is what transforms what could be a screensaver into something that lands with actual weight.
