The scouts
A by-the-book director portrait that plays it safe—Mehta's radical filmmaking deserves a scout brave enough to interrogate why we're watching her talk *about* provocation rather than experience it.
Wild's intimate profile sits confidently within the essay-documentary tradition, letting formal restraint and conversational editing honor Mehta's own aesthetic rigor—the kind of portrait that deepens on repeat viewings.
The sound design here does the heavy lifting: how Wild layers Mehta's voice against silence and architectural space creates an almost physical sense of a filmmaker thinking through her own legacy in real time.
