Post-apocalyptic farm drama sounds like the most predictable setup imaginable, but something here—maybe the refusal to make diverging dreams feel like betrayal—actually resists the genre's hunger for conflict; wish I could say the same for the premise itself.
Two minutes is a brutal constraint for exploring how shared vision fractures, and yet the film's restraint in not overdetermining its melancholy feels deliberate, situated in a lineage of intimacy-in-constraint that recalls early Koreeda or even Chloé Zhao's formal economy.
The real move here is probably the sound design or a single cut that lets you feel the distance between them without stating it—two people building something together and then visibly not being in the same frame anymore, a technical choice that does the emotional work in 120 seconds.
