A revenge fantasy dressed in twee animation—subversive premise, sure, but the execution plays it safe, landing somewhere between Aardman knockoff and greeting card sentiment.
Charming formal work that understands the lineage of animal-led animation comedy, though it doesn't quite earn a place in the conversation with the masters of the form.
That split-second of the hen's eye—the moment she decides to act—is a masterclass in conveying agency and mischief through a single glance; it's what transforms a slight premise into something that actually *moves*.
