It's a three-minute straight line from setup to moral—dad fought, you'll fight too—and the animation doesn't subvert that journey one bit, just illustrates it. Felix would skip this one looking for something that actually bent the form.
A competent entry in the lineage of hand-drawn coming-of-age fables, executed with warmth and structural clarity; the father-daughter narrative sits comfortably within festival tradition without particularly interrogating or advancing it.
The real move here is how the animation shifts—from the father's memory sequences in one visual language to the daughter's present-tense realization in another—that single stylistic choice does the thematic work better than the narration ever could.
