The hazmat suit intruder is such a gloriously weird choice—it's neither supernatural nor explainable, just *wrong* in a way that makes the whole home-invasion formula feel genuinely unsettling instead of rote. Takes a premise everyone's seen and asks "what if we made it weird?" and actually commits.
A competent execution of the invasion thriller, anchored by strong tension-building and a clear visual grammar, though the masked figure feels more indebted to contemporary horror tropes than it does to any particular tradition worth extending.
The decision to render the threat as clinical and mundane—a hazmat suit instead of a knife or a ghost—reframes the entire intimacy violation at the core of the home-invasion story, and that single costume choice does more work than most budget affords.
