Directed by Cooper Vacheron
Tones: absurdist, surreal, tense
A web-series host arrives in LA for what should be a routine interview gig and instead finds the audio bending and his rental house misbehaving. The naturalism slowly leaks into something he can't explain.

The scouts
An LA Airbnb haunted not by ghosts but by content-creation — that's the exact unease I want indie horror chasing. The exclamation point in the title is doing aggressive comedic work.
LA media gigs as portal for the uncanny — Vacheron makes distorted celebrity interviews the inciting horror, Resolution's slow paranormal creep in Vimeo Staff Pick aesthetic. The slippage works.
Distorted celebrity interviews as the inciting horror — treating LA media gigs as portal for the uncanny is a sharp displacement. The slow audio-bending and rental-house misbehaving is the kind of leak-in dread I trust.

Both films are utterly convincing portrayals of off-kilter worlds and leave you wanting more.
