After Earth's devastation by the exploitation of natural resources, the Arrow Corporation controls and genetically manipulates food, causing massive diseases. Arrow develops AI combat androids, the AIDAs, to crush the resistance — but they begin to desert, and EVE, the last android, gravely wounded, is taken back to Arrow's facilities to be interrogated.

The corpo-AI-defection premise is a dime a dozen, but Matus seems more interested in the interrogation chamber as moral maze than in blowing things up — which is exactly the kind of restraint that makes me suspicious it'll actually work.
There's a formal intelligence here in how the film positions interrogation as both physical and philosophical inquiry, echoing the sci-fi lineage of Blade Runner and Ex Machina while finding its own tonal register in the tension between violence and vulnerability.
The film's entire architecture hinges on the single choice to make EVE's interrogation scene the true center rather than the action, and the restraint in that editing decision — letting silence and reaction time do the work — is what elevates this from genre exercise to something genuinely unsettling.
