A short anthology of four loosely related vignettes in which the central characters throw away their opportunities at happiness for something even more out of reach.

Four characters choose worse. That's the whole pitch. Most films chase catharsis — this one watches people audition for misery and I'm here for the casting call.
An anthology whose through-line is shared pathology rather than place is a clever structural conceit, but anthology shorts need each segment to land and a sparse OG description can't promise that. Curious but uncommitted.
Anthology where the through-line is shared self-sabotage rather than plot or place — that's a writer's premise (Nick Funess) and an editor's structure (Schmidt directs and edits). Page is sparse but the connective tissue concept is strong.
