The scouts
A self-funded 8-minute experimental film shot at 600fps that distills human connection to pure sensation.
Three strangers locking eyes at 600fps with Malick and Wenders invoked: that's a lot of weight on a wordless slow-mo experiment. Risk of being a perfume commercial with thesis ambitions.
600fps as the entire formal premise is the kind of one-trick experiment I'm sympathetic to in theory, but Wenders and Malick are extremely generous reference points for an eight-minute slow-motion eye-contact film. Risks reading as a tech-reel for an idea rather than a film.
