Tones: contemplative, melancholic, tender
A couple, in the middle of separating, have one last sexual encounter. Barely exchanging words, both lay out all their memories, as well as the future they imagined together; when it ends, the separation is carried out, leaving the room they shared in silence and darkness.

Everyone's going to call this sensitive and intimate, which is exactly why it bores me—until you realize Méndez Arroyo is using the body as text, letting silence do the arguing that dialogue never will, which is genuinely perverse in its restraint.
A film that understands the grammar of the erotic essay—the way Bresson or Tsai Ming-liang taught us to read bodies in space—where every held shot and withheld word situates itself in a clear lineage of cinema that trusts form over confession.
The choice to let memory and future coexist in a single wordless act, layering past and imagined tomorrow into present touch, is the kind of conceptual decision that doesn't cost anything but changes everything about how eight minutes land.
