A Dragon Ball fan film shot on a GoPro should be disposable, but Kirby brothers hijack the premise sideways — what could've been cosplay footage becomes a genuine riff on action cinema's obsession with POV, mixing genuine stunt work with the absurdist logic of anime. It's the kind of thing that makes you realize the best subversions come from people too weird to know they're being clever.
While the premise invokes a lineage stretching from first-person cinema experiments to contemporary action grammar, the execution remains tethered to YouTube fan-film convention rather than interrogating those traditions with formal intention; the GoPro conceit is more gimmick than considered artistic choice.
The decision to actually choreograph real-world stunts around a fixed POV — rather than just strapping a camera to an actor's head — forces every movement to justify itself within the frame's logic, and that constraint becomes the entire engine of what makes the humor and kinetic energy land.
