Dark comedy about gardening mistakes feels like the kind of premise everyone passes on, which means Anderson probably found something genuinely twisted in the margins—but I'd need to see if she actually commits to the weird or settles for quirk.
The tonal balance between whimsy and surrealism suggests a filmmaker aware of animation's lineage in fable and cautionary tale, though whether the execution justifies the formal ambition depends entirely on the editing's restraint.
Six minutes of animation lives or dies on one specific choice—whether it's a moment of sound design that breaks the whimsy, a color shift that signals the catastrophe, or a performance beat that makes you believe these gardeners' relationship before it fractures—and that's what separates a vault-find from a real discovery.
