Twenty-eight minutes of vampire-influencer Scottish comedy mini-series — that's a sitcom pilot in a trench coat. If I wanted vampire content satire I'd rewatch Shadows.
A 28-minute Scottish vampire-influencer mini-series — the What We Do in the Shadows comparison is generous, and the runtime suggests pilot-pitch energy more than short-film discipline. Likely fun, not curatable.
A 28-minute five-episode comedy mini-series satirizing influencer culture through vampire mythology, with a feature film in development off the back of it — that's a successful proof-of-concept. The sketch-comedy format at this length depends entirely on the cumulative joke-per-minute rate, which I can't verify from the page.
Reviews
Hangover Food: Vampire Influencer is funny and clever, managing to poke fun at the social media epidemic by blending everyday problems with the supernatural in a way that is both familiar and fresh.
A five-part series of shorts that brings us back to the HFCU which is thankfully still full of the same joyous ridiculousness, quick-pans and quick-wits that made the original so great.
