Lázaro and Damián face their darkest thoughts, desires and longings, once again reviving the epic struggle of good against evil, based on real events.

The good-vs-evil framing feels like a Trojan horse for something weirder—a 9-minute sprint through biblical dread that refuses the comfort of resolution. If this lands, it's because Velling found a formal trap most directors would've softened.
Velling positions herself within a long lineage of theological cinema, but the real test is whether the formal choices—pacing, sound design, the handling of 'real events'—earn that weight rather than merely invoke it.
The hinge here is how Velling threads the needle between two interior monologues without letting them collapse into sentimentality; whatever technical choice keeps Lázaro and Damián distinct and credible in nine minutes is what makes this breathe.
