A documentary short that narrates the history of the bicycle through its most important stages and events in the most summarised format possible, from the year without a summer and the bicycle and women to the present day.

The scouts

It's a straight documentary history of the bicycle—competent, maybe even smart, but it's doing exactly what you'd expect a film called 'Minimal History of the Bike' to do, and there's nothing here that makes me want to argue against the grain.

Felix

A disciplined exercise in condensation: Acevedo positions the bicycle within larger historical currents (the Year Without a Summer, women's liberation, industrial modernity) and trusts the form itself—constraint as method—to do the curatorial work, which is exactly how a short should think about its inheritance.

Margot

The real move here is the decision to compress rather than expand: by refusing to ornament or dramatize, Acevedo lets the bicycle's formal evolution carry the argument, which means every archival choice and edit point has to earn its place.
