Invasion-through-motherhood angle is obvious enough that it needed a genuine perversion to land, and Kalyn doesn't quite find it—this plays the genre straight when it should be actively antagonizing it.
Competent execution of familiar sci-fi / action beats, with clear visual language and decent pacing; a solid craft exercise, though it doesn't interrogate or extend the traditions it inherits from.
That sound design choice—the way the alien environment shifts from mechanical to organic as she moves deeper—is the film's real engine; it's doing thematic work on a shoestring by making the invaders' world feel genuinely *felt* rather than just shown.
