One night in a closed salon, a tango orchestrates an encounter; bodies brush and elegance slides toward obsession, until it is unclear who leads the dance.

Two minutes of bodies in a tango, and somehow Marino manages to flip the power dynamic mid-waltz—except you can't quite tell when it happened, which is either frustratingly elegant or elegantly frustrating, and I'm annoyed I can't decide.
A formally precise distillation of the tango's theatrical vocabulary—the pas de deux as a site of ambiguous control, edited with the kind of restraint that trusts the viewer to read the pressure between bodies; the film knows exactly what tradition it's in conversation with.
The decision to hold the camera wide and still rather than cut into close-ups keeps the entire negotiation of power visible in posture alone—one choice that makes two minutes feel like a complete argument.
