In the school locker room after sports class, Tom, a 12-year-old sixth-grader bundled in his puffer jacket, is the target of Jules's mockery. Tom dreams of murdering him horribly, but lowers his head and hugs the walls.

The scouts
Everyone expects the bullying short to either explode into violence or collapse into tears—Galan just lets Tom *exist* in that puffer jacket, unremarkable and crushed, which is somehow more unsettling than any revenge fantasy could be.
The restraint here sits firmly in a lineage of European coming-of-age work (Haneke, Dardenne) that privileges observation over catharsis, and the locker room becomes a formally precise space of social geometry.
The jacket itself does the work—that specific choice to keep Tom visibly bundled, physically defended by polyester while emotionally exposed, transforms a two-minute premise into something achingly tactile.
