A domestic thriller with a killer-in-the-house twist is exactly the kind of premise everyone's seen a hundred times—and Martín doesn't subvert it enough to make me care; it's competent genre work, which is precisely what bores me.
Martín executes the thriller mechanics with clear formal control, and the tight 8-minute structure shows discipline, but the film sits comfortably within genre convention rather than interrogating or expanding the tradition it inhabits.
The decision to keep the reveal intimate and domestic—playing the final confrontation in confined spaces where the policewoman's professional authority collapses—is what transforms this from routine procedural into something that actually sticks; that spatial and psychological compression on a small budget is what makes it work.
