It's a Dragon Ball fanfilm, which should be a death sentence, but Pasha actually subverts the mythic showdown—Vegeta as reluctant executioner, Goku as something other than savior—and that tonal inversion is genuinely unsettling in a way licensed anime almost never achieves.
The film sits awkwardly between fan devotion and auteurial ambition, which undercuts its formal intentions; while the animation is competent and the thematic reach toward 'legend' as tragedy is deliberate, it can't quite escape the gravitational pull of its source material.
The singular choice here is the sound design during Vegeta's internal conflict—that sustained, almost electrical hum under silence instead of the expected orchestral swell—which transforms a character beat into something genuinely isolating and elevates the whole 11 minutes into territory fanwork rarely reaches.
