Tones: contemplative, whimsical
To defeat his depression, a man follows an experimental treatment: wearing pink glasses through which he no longer sees life as it really is, but sees it otherwise — more beautiful.

The premise wants to be subversive—depression cured by delusion—but it plays it too safe, leaning into whimsy instead of really interrogating what it means to medicate reality away; a sharper film would've let the cost of those pink lenses bleed through.
Lambermont works in a lineage of contemporary magical realism (Kaufman, Gondry) where metaphor becomes literal, and the 2-minute constraint forces formal discipline: every frame must carry both emotional and visual weight without indulgence.
The genius move here is committing fully to the optical effect—shooting the world twice, filtered and unfiltered—and letting that single technical choice do all the thematic work instead of spelling it out; that's restraint in service of meaning.
