Eats the hand that feeds it in under four minutes. Anything that turns the man-on-the-street industrial complex against itself gets through my gate.
Bourne bites the format keeping his contemporaries employed in under four minutes — a Subway Takes outtake achieving self-awareness. Sharp containment, sharp target.
Sub-four-minute autopsy of the man-on-the-street content economy by someone clearly inside that economy — that's the right ambient bite-the-hand register. Self-aware about its own format means it could be precious, but the opening scroll-spoof reel ('Bodega Bugs, Sidewalk Sommelier, Sexy Street') is dead-on.
