Another slasher in a country house? Except Mera leans into the premise like it's a joke nobody else gets — the *real* massacre is boredom, disconnection, whatever lurks under five friends pretending to unplug. It's horror as social autopsy, which beats another stab-and-scream by miles.
Competent execution within the giallo-slasher lineage, though the film doesn't quite justify why we should care beyond the mechanics of its setup; the editing maintains tension but the formal vocabulary here feels inherited rather than interrogated.
The tonal pivot from mundane cabin-weekend to genuine threat hinges entirely on how Mera holds the camera still during the early scenes—that refusal to sensationalize the ordinary is what makes the violence land as intrusion rather than spectacle, which is the whole film.
