A first date. Two strangers. A conversation that, between laughter and silences, takes unexpected turns: a sharp, comic portrait of the ways of relating in the digital era.

The scouts
Two directors, four minutes, a first date that refuses to be a first date—there's something quietly anarchic about watching a rom-com premise get picked apart by its own awkwardness, though I'm not entirely sure the subversion lands hard enough to stick.
Competently assembled in the lineage of observational comedy shorts, with neat pacing and tonal control, though it doesn't push against the form in ways that would make it memorable in a festival context.
What sells this is the pacing of the silences—the filmmakers know exactly when to cut, when to let discomfort breathe—and there's a performance choice buried in the mundane dialogue that catches you off-guard and justifies the whole premise.
