Alicia, looking online for something to identify with, finds a short about a woman in her same situation: Sandra, with a bruise on her forehead, tries to hide her repressed feelings by taking refuge in a furniture shop.

The scouts
The meta-layer—Alicia watching Sandra, both trapped in the same emotional cage—could've been heavy-handed, but Caballero lets it breathe, refuses to spell it out. It's restraint as subversion, which I respect.
A formally composed study in doubling and displacement; the furniture shop becomes a gallery of repression, and the film's recursive structure (watching a film within the film) engages thoughtfully with cinema's capacity for recognition and misrecognition.
The decision to hide the violence beneath mundane surfaces—a bruise glimpsed, feelings channeled into the geometry of a furniture store—does the heavy lifting; Caballero trusts the viewer to read what's deliberately obscured, and that specificity transforms an 11-minute frame into something that lingers.
