Four-minute 'heartwarming' Sony/Canon/Nikon-sponsored doc about a girl finding a job — that's an industry showreel with subtitles, not a film. Pass.
A four-minute personal documentary that emerged from a sponsored Swiss competition — the page summary reveals less subject than mention of jury and sponsors. Likely competent corporate-adjacent storytelling.
Four minutes of unscripted portrait about a random job listing leading to a new life is intentionally modest — at that runtime, the entire craft burden is on the cutting and the warmth of the interview. Hard to overpromise at four minutes.
