The scouts
A nightmare-client premise that sounds like a greeting card until you realize the film is weaponizing mundane retail dread into something genuinely unsettling—it's the kind of subversion that doesn't announce itself, which is exactly why it works.
Sánchez threads a precise needle between genre registers, recalling the tonal control of early Haneke or Ruben Östlund, where social protocol becomes the actual architecture of horror.
The film lives in the assistant's eyes during those final minutes—one performance choice that shifts from customer-service compliance to barely-contained terror—and that micro-shift of recognition is what elevates a simple one-room scenario into something genuinely claustrophobic.
