Corey Hughes makes music videos like they're personal diaries he forgot to lock. The same guy who shot a slapstick cruise vacation in slow motion for 14 minutes applies that gaze to a band called Nerftoss. Extremely specific energy.
Corey Hughes treats a music video like one of his drift-documentary shorts, and the result honors both forms; the parking-lot melancholy of the band gets a properly wandering eye. Quietly strong.
Corey Hughes treats a music video commission like one of his drift-documentaries — Baltimore parking lot reverie collapsing the boundary between promo object and personal film. Quiet, weird, durably good.
