The premise is so aggressively *nothing*—a woman waits, nobody comes—that it almost works as anti-cinema; problem is, that gambit needs teeth, and I'm not convinced Bretón has the restraint or the perversity to make the void sing rather than just sit there.
Bretón understands the grammar of absence in a way that recalls Chantal Akerman's spatial endurance—three minutes of table-setting and vigil becomes a formal statement about time, anticipation, and the architecture of disappointment; the economy of gesture here is everything.
The decision to hold on the empty chair across from her rather than cut away or intercut with the world outside—that single framing choice transforms waiting from plot into architecture, and suddenly a micro-budget intimate scene becomes something tactile and true.
