In a post-apocalyptic wasteland, an overconfident marauder and his snarky robot companion ransack an abandoned bunker, only to come face-to-face with an enemy who appears to be an exact copy of the marauder himself. The encounter forces a reckoning with identity, authenticity, and what it means to be the 'original.'

Finally, someone torches the tired post-apocalypse marauder premise by actually interrogating it—the doppelgänger twist isn't window dressing, it's a philosophical ambush dressed up as action. The snarky robot refusing to pick sides is the perfect middle finger to every hero's-journey certainty we're force-fed.
Anklam demonstrates formal control in how the film withholds certainty through editing and framing, echoing the doppelgänger films of New German Cinema while speaking in contemporary genre vernacular. It's a short aware of its own intellectual ancestry.
The decision to never let the camera or the robot reveal who's original is the entire film—everything else serves that one refusal, and Anklam commits to it completely, turning a budget limitation into the engine of genuine unease.
Reviews
A gritty sci-fi short on identity, survival, and self-doubt — blending high-stakes action with existential themes, an engaging character dynamic between the cocky protagonist and witty robot sidekick, and narrative twists that challenge viewers to contemplate what defines personal identity in a technologically advanced world.
Cool concept, great SFX, well acted and directed. Manages to quickly summarise what is happening effectively.
