The scouts
MiniDV through the dead parts of Orlando — pharmacological amnesia rendered with the kind of texture only a tape format can produce. Korine-adjacent but warmer, weirdly tender.
MiniDV-and-amnesia is essentially a Jonas Mekas update with a chemical pretext; Witmer and Divine seem to use the format honestly rather than ironically.
MiniDV haze across Orlando motel parking lots, DIY skate spots, abandoned buildings — the format collapsing into the amnesia premise so every frame is already half-forgotten is a real poetic alignment of texture and theme.
