It's a documentary about casting in Spain—sounds dutiful and predictable—but Vereda's actually dismantling the whole mythology of 'talent' by letting the industry eat itself on camera, which is more subversive than it pretends to be.
Vereda positions himself in the essay-film tradition, letting competing voices on image and opportunity create a formal argument rather than narrative resolution—the constraint becomes the thinking, and that's curatorial rigor.
The singular choice here is structural: cutting between actors and gatekeepers without mediation or voiceover, trusting the viewer to locate the contradiction—that restraint of narration is what makes twelve minutes feel like an indictment.
