The protagonist of revenge is a textbook psychopath: planner, liar, sadistic, cruel and ruthless, with a particular sense of humour and quite mad; after a life dedicated to not very legal businesses, he decides to 'get up to date' and execute a list of victims that he keeps crossing out of a notebook, and the spectator will see only a part of his tour of revenge.

The scouts
A revenge thriller that commits to the psychopath's point of view without flinching or moralizing — most scouts would hedge this with victim sympathy, but Bonet just lets the madness breathe, and that refusal to play it safe is exactly what makes it work.
Formally assured dark comedy that knows its lineage (Tarantino, Almodovar's cruelty) and executes the checkmark-through-a-notebook conceit with measured visual economy, though the tonal balance between sadism and humor occasionally strains the seams.
The structural choice to show only fragments of the revenge list — cutting away before payoff, denying the audience the gore-satisfaction it expects — transforms what could be exploitation into something genuinely disquieting with a fraction of the screen time.
