Monsieur Bertrand is a painter, blind since childhood. He asks his niece to help him with his project: her great beauty, the timeless symbol of his entire oeuvre.

The scouts
A blind painter obsessed with beauty he'll never see—okay, that's genuinely perverse in the best way, though I suspect Sultan plays it too reverently to really commit to the creepiness underneath.
This is a film acutely aware of its own restraint: two minutes of formal patience, a premise that echoes the entire history of the male gaze in art, and the discipline to let that contradiction breathe without resolving it.
The choice to keep the camera on Bertrand's hands rather than the niece's face—that's where the film lives, turning a potentially exploitative setup into something about what we refuse to show and why.
