A couple meets at a restaurant to celebrate their anniversary and unexpectedly encounters another person, with everything still to be said and discovered before the evening ends.

The scouts
A restaurant anniversary that goes sideways with a third party—premise sounds like every indie breakup film ever made, and honestly, it probably is one, which is exactly why I'm not picking it.
Garay's restraint in a ten-minute dinner-table drama feels earned rather than affected; the formal constraint of the single location and the accumulating tension before revelation suggests a filmmaker thinking deliberately about how silence and timing do the work that exposition won't.
The decision to keep the third person's arrival understated—no musical sting, no dramatic entrance—lets the discomfort live in the actors' stillness, which is where the real specificity of this moment lives.
