Diane learns what a mirror conceals the hard way after taking a substance meant to make her perfect: her reflection is not what she expected, and meeting Céleste, her echo, reveals they are marked by the same invisible violence.

The mirror-as-violence conceit wants badly to be subversive, but it's treading water in surrealist cliché — the substance-induced doppelgänger reveal lands with all the shock of a twist everyone saw at film school.
Laverdieu and Saïssi-Maillet situate themselves deliberately in the lineage of feminist body-horror and mirror mythology (Plath, Kusama, contemporary French cinema), and the formal restraint—letting the reflection speak rather than explain—demonstrates real compositional discipline.
The decision to keep Céleste almost motionless while Diane reacts is the fulcrum that works: it forces the camera and editing to do all the emotional labor, and in 2 minutes that economy transforms what could've been heavy-handed into something genuinely unsettling.
