A man imprisoned in his dark, chaotic inner world crosses an anxiety crisis; disconnected from reality, he finds refuge in a park, where instants, voices, sounds, and sensations — fragments of the present — gradually transform his gaze and his state.

Two minutes of a guy spiraling in his own head could be insufferable, but Romano and Lachaize refuse the obvious move—they don't wallow in the darkness, they let the park interrupt it, which is weird enough to actually land.
The sensory fragmentation here sits in lineage with Brakhage and structural film's interest in perception itself, though the emotional throughline keeps it from becoming mere abstraction—a disciplined balance between experimental form and psychological legibility.
The decision to let ambient sound and environmental detail do the emotional heavy lifting instead of score or internal monologue transforms what could've been solipsistic navel-gazing into something genuinely disorienting and restorative—that shift is everything.
