Genres: drama
Tones: contemplative, melancholic, tender
As in films, in life there are also secrets. Her mother is losing her memory and she is going through the worst patch of her life: she has broken her leg, separated, and had to go back to live with her mother, who tonight will forget to keep holding back the secret she kept.

The secret-reveal mechanic feels like it's playing it safe—memory loss as metaphor, the daughter's crisis as setup for a confession. I wanted the film to *interrogate* why we keep secrets, not just use forgetting as a plot device to finally air them out.
Reposiciones situates itself in a clear lineage of intimate European family dramas—the handheld restraint, the unsaid hovering over every frame—and executes that form with considerable formal discipline, even if the emotional architecture lands where we expect.
The decision to let the camera stay *still* while the mother moves through domestic space—not following, not cutting—transforms what could be melodrama into something genuinely tender; it's a technical choice about presence that does all the emotional work.
