Watercolour washes come alive on paper in a miniature colour study. Pigment spreads and shifts to form a brief animated meditation on hue.

A minute of watercolor porn dressed up as meditation—it's so formally committed to its own beauty that it almost loops back into parody, which I respect, but it never quite commits to the bit hard enough to actually *mean* something.
Hayward's restraint here is the whole argument: one minute, pure optical study, each pigment decision placed with the deliberation of a Rothko chapel—this is animation-as-painting, aware of its debt to both traditions and asking what happens when you collapse them.
The invisible choice is the timing of the spreads—each bloom of color holds just long enough that you feel the wetness of the paper, not the mechanical clock of the animation; that breath is what makes it transcend a screen saver into something tactile.
