Tones: contemplative, melancholic, tender
A young man prepares for an important rendezvous and drifts through a day of errands, fleeting encounters and unanswered questions, accompanied by an intimate voice, unsure of what awaits him.

Two minutes of a guy running errands while waiting for someone? It's the anti-climax dressed up as poetry, and I respect the refusal to deliver—but Achemaoui plays it too safe, too lovely, when real subversion would've cracked the frame open.
There's a considered restraint here, a lineage of the quotidian-as-emotional-landscape that traces back through Koreeda and the French nouvelle vague; the voice-over anchors the drift with formal precision, though it risks settling into the mannered rather than earned.
That intimate voice—uncertain, searching, almost questioning itself—transforms what could be a listless montage into something genuinely unsettled; it's the single tonal choice that makes you feel the weight of waiting rather than just watching someone wait.
