It's a competent sci-fi meditation on infrastructure and loss, sure, but it doesn't *subvert* the premise—it just illustrates it. The voiceover does the heavy lifting while the animation sits politely beside it, which feels like the safe choice.
Chadeisson's restraint is what makes this work: three minutes of negative space, where construction machines become a formal motif for existential eclipse, and the animation's clean geometry mirrors the very systems suffocating the world. It's austere filmmaking that knows exactly what tradition it's speaking to.
The decision to let the machines dominate the visual frame while voices recede into something almost inaudible forces you to choose what to listen to—and that tension between scale and intimacy is where the whole film lives.
